At Dream Decoder, we take the privacy of your inner thoughts and dream journals seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our mobile application and landing page website.

1. Information We Collect

To provide AI-powered dream interpretation and journaling features, we collect the following categories of information:

  • Dream Journal Content: The text descriptions, voice-to-text transcripts, and mood tags you input to describe your dreams.
  • Account Information: If you choose to sync your entries across devices, we collect your email address and authentication details.
  • Usage Data: Technical details such as device type, operating system version, and application performance logs to help us resolve crashes and improve usability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes:

  • To provide AI-powered thematic and symbolic analyses of your dreams.
  • To compile your personal "Symbol Atlas" and display emotional trends over time.
  • To securely synchronize your journals across your authenticated devices.
  • To troubleshoot technical issues and monitor application performance.

3. Data Processing and AI Partners

To analyze and decode your dreams, we transmit your dream text to secure Artificial Intelligence API endpoints (such as Google Gemini or OpenAI APIs).

Critical Privacy Protections:

  • No Training: Your private dream descriptions are processed strictly in real-time. Our AI partners do not store or use your dream content to train their AI models.
  • Secure Transit: All data sent to AI APIs is encrypted in transit using standard Transport Layer Security (TLS).

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal dream data, emails, or usage statistics to advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with our core infrastructure providers (such as hosting and database services) to run the application.

5. Your Choices and Data Deletion

You own your dreams. You can delete individual dream entries, clear your entire history, or permanently delete your Dream Decoder account directly within the app settings. Once deleted, this data is immediately and permanently purged from our databases.

Account Deletion Request: If you are unable to access the app or wish to request that your account and all associated data be deleted manually, please email us at support@dreamdecoder.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your account. We will process your deletion request within 14 days. Once processed, all of your dream journals, account information, and usage data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard encryption protocols to protect your account data and dream journals. However, no database or transmission channel is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
